A Little Thankfulness + Gratefulness

I just want to send out a huge thank you to all my brides and grooms that made this year such a memorable one. It wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you. It means the world to me that I could be a part of one of the biggest days of your life. I'm truly grateful.

I'm also grateful for friends and times like these. Sorry Dava. :)

I'm thankful for gaining the knowledge of why I should become a Pescetarian and how it's completely changed my life for the better. Thanks Vertical Diner for existing.

I'm ridiculously happy about this guy that my hubby surprised me with last night. To give you some background, I'm a plant killer. Not intentionally, I try so hard to keep plants alive that I end up killing them one way or another. I told him that I want a cactus for my office because I think it's the only thing I can manage. And now I have one.

I'm insanely grateful for music. I don't know what I'd do without it.

I'm so grateful for a gorgeous office in our home that inspires me to be better and better.

Each and every day I feel so lucky to have these guys in our lives.
Kracken can always put a smile on your face no matter how crappy your day has been. He makes the cutest noises I've ever heard in my life when he's excited to see you, crawls inside pant legs and shirt arms to dig (you have to see to truly understand the cuteness), and thinks he has the balance and stealth of an acrobat when in reality it's like a toddler learning to stand up.

Pee Wee has been with me for 7.5 years and with Alex 5.5 years. I wish I could even begin to describe all that he's been through with me from the high's to the low's and everything in between. He's such a smart little guy and means the whole world to me. There's nothing that makes him happier than going to the park to play with his mini tennis balls.

And plain and simple, Alex is the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I did. When we first got together, I thought it was too good to be true. He was, and is, everything I ever wanted. The fact that he cares enough to listen to me go on and on about bridal shows, weddings, and how I should design my new marketing material is just the cherry on top.

I guess I just wanted to sum up a little list about what I'm grateful for. There's lots more, but I have pumpkin pie that needs baking and squashes that need to be stuffed.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, have a happy and safe (long!) weekend.

Louland Falls Wedding : Shane+Brooke : Utah Wedding Photographer

These two friends of ours were married back in September at Louland Falls. I sit here writing up this post thinking how on earth time flew by so fast. It seems like I was just shooting their engagements (back in Fall 2012), or yet even their bridals+groomals back in July.

When these two moved here to Utah from Wisconsin, Shane had a job already lined up. That job is where my husband works and that's how they first met. When I first met Brooke, it was because she wanted to hire me to shoot her wedding day. Over the next year, we became friends. Hearing all of their wedding day hopes and dreams and seeing them turn into a reality was amazing. Everything from the colors to the centerpieces to the potato bar was so cohesive and looked so gorgeous. I'm so happy I could photograph their big day at such a beautiful venue filled with amazing family and friends.

We've had some great times with these two and look forward to many more years of friendship!
